Conservative Book Club Scam?

I was wondering if anyone has used the Conservative Book Club.
The prices are a little too cheap to trust and I was wondering if they are a scam or what are the reasons they offer you books so cheap to begin with, or is this just a way to start doing business with them to kinda break the ice.

like any book club you need to read the small print of what you are committed to by joining – many offer very cheap books to start with but you are committed to buying at least one book per month at full price for the next 12 months (or something similar) – the club has been going for a long time so won’t be an outright scam but do check the small print before you sign up so that you do not find yourself forced to buy expensive books you dont want
