Here’s an example of Craig’s work:

I, am an elephant.
Or…so I’ve been told.
I rather thought I resembled an emu when I was young.
But my mother had no beak, only a leathery tongue.
She’d lick me clean after spraying me with her nose,
Like a great fire hose made out of canvas and kind of moldy.
Hose rhymes with nose.
I like the moon.

Kind of reminds me of Joshua the Narcoleptic Snake’s work.
Though..not as many missing words.
Maybe they have it for sale at KMart?

Horaayy..there are 5 comment(s) for me so far ;)

It’s beautiful poetry like that, that just pulls at the heart strings. There should be more published elephant mom love poetry in the world.
*goes to look in elephant foot trash can for tossed out poems*
