I found some coupon codes for a pizza place listed on a website, but I don’t actually have a coupon. Is it okay to use these codes? or will I get in trouble?
It isn’t scanned coupons, it’s just a little code you can put in when ordering online.

If the pizza place authorizes the coupons, sure.

If they were scanned in by someone else, no, that’s forgery. No different than using scanned dollars.

Horaayy..there are 9 comment(s) for me so far ;)

If it doesn’t say on the website that you must have the coupon, then go for it.

I don’t think it’s illegal. Just go for it and if they tell you no, then that’s about all they can do.

If your ordering online, go for it, its not illegal at all. If your getting it delivered, I don’t know if you can or not.

It is not illegal. It may be against the pizza place’s policy, so they could just tell you no don’t do that.

Most places don’t care they just want your business. That’s why they have the coupon codes.

The coupon codes are instead of paper coupons. You can’t really use a paper coupon online can you? So what companies do is issue coupon codes, which they pass on to website owners, who publish them so that people like you can use them.

There’s nothing illegal, or even sneaky, about it. It’s intended that you use them. Of course, the website owner hopes that you will use the link they provide to go to the site, and then use the coupon code, because that means they get a few cents commission for sending you to the site, which repays them for the trouble of publishing the coupon code. But you don’t have to.

It is legal and safe, because if the code is fake, then you cannot use it on the website, if you do, then the code is real and is legal for use
