If I am running a website and have displayed online coupons of certain businesses, how do I get paid by the businesses? I don’t have access to their records so how do I know that a customer came to them through my site?
An example would be:
Let’s say I have a coupon for a local grocery shop. A customer comes to my website and prints that coupon and takes it to the local grocery shop. How do I know that the customer redeemed that coupon with the grocer?
You don’t. Why would you think you’d get paid for that?
Unless you actually entered into an agreement to get reimbursed for any use of the coupon, there’s nothing you have to get paid for. Are you charging them to host the coupons on your site, or is it part of a click-through banner program?
Either way, you are probably not going to get paid for anyone using the coupon. If you want to get paid for that, it’d be a hassle for them and they’d probably just tell you to take the coupons off the site then.
